Bastrop River Company

Group Reservation, Cancellation and Trip Protection Policy

Please review this policy before confirming your reservation.

Confirming a reservation

Submitting a trip request does not create or hold a reservation. Your reservation is confirmed only after Bastrop River Company has:

  • Confirmed availability and trip details;
  • Established the number and type of watercraft being reserved;
  • Received an approved payment method to keep on file; and
  • Received your agreement to this reservation and cancellation policy.

The payment method on file guarantees payment of the full reservation balance. Unless other arrangements are made in writing, the balance is due on the date of the trip.

Reserved watercraft and participant changes

Your reservation is based on the number and type of watercraft reserved—not the number of people who ultimately attend.

Once the reservation is confirmed:

  • Additional watercraft may be added, subject to availability.
  • Reserved watercraft cannot be removed from the reservation.
  • The full confirmed reservation must be paid, even if attendance decreases.
  • Trip Protection does not cover individual participants or individual watercraft.

For example, if a group reserves ten canoes but later needs only nine, payment is still required for all ten reserved canoes.

Cancellations without Trip Protection

All confirmed group reservations are noncancelable and nonrefundable unless Trip Protection is purchased when the reservation is confirmed.

Without Trip Protection, the full confirmed reservation balance remains due if the group cancels, attendance decreases, plans change, or the group is unable to attend because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Optional Trip Protection

Trip Protection may be purchased for an additional 10% of the total reservation price.

Trip Protection allows the group to cancel the entire reservation because of weather or another unforeseen circumstance, subject to the terms stated below. It applies only to cancellation of the complete trip.

Trip Protection does not allow a group to:

  • Reduce the number of reserved canoes, kayaks or other watercraft;
  • Remove individual participants from the reservation;
  • Receive a partial refund or credit for unused watercraft; or
  • Purchase protection after the reservation has already been confirmed.

If a protected reservation is not canceled in its entirety, the full confirmed reservation balance remains due.
